The National Theater
Jet lag had me out wandering long after most people had called it a night. Instead of fighting it, I grabbed my camera and headed into the city square.
The National Theater caught my attention under the night lighting. The traditional rooflines, painted details, and rows of illuminated columns looked completely different against the dark sky.
Standing there with the square mostly quiet, I had time to slow down and really look at the architecture.
This photograph is about that contrast—the old design, the deep night sky, and the warm lighting bringing the entire structure forward.:
