SINGAPORE

Island State of Mind Collection

Singapore wasn't the trip I expected, and looking back, I think that's why I enjoyed photographing it so much.

I arrived hoping to spend more time in the air with my drone, but the weather had different plans. Instead of waiting for the skies to clear, I grabbed my camera and started exploring the city on foot. It turned out to be exactly what I needed. Slowing down gave me the chance to notice details I probably would have missed otherwise—from the way the light filtered through the Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay to the clean lines of the city's architecture and the quiet moments tucked between some of its busiest streets.

One of the things I appreciated most about Singapore was how easily nature and the city seemed to exist alongside each other. You could spend the morning surrounded by glass towers and, a few minutes later, find yourself walking through gardens that felt like a world of their own. That contrast made every day feel different and kept me reaching for my camera.

This collection reflects the way I experienced Singapore—not from above, but at street level, taking my time and letting the city reveal itself one neighborhood at a time. Sometimes the best photographs come from letting go of the plan you had and being open to the one that unfolds in front of you.
