From above, Hoi An's coastline has a rhythm of its own.

Coconut palms line one side, a wide stretch of clean white sand runs through the middle, and the blue water opens up along the other. When I captured this image, there wasn't a person in sight—just an empty beach and the coastline doing what it does every day.

Hoi An gets plenty of attention for its lanterns, old streets, and architecture, but its beaches don't always get the same recognition. Spend a little time away from the busy parts of town and you'll find a coastline that's surprisingly quiet, clean, and easy on the eyes.
